The idea of the piece, simply got started by finding a beautiful melody on the guitar. With the supervision of Cenk Erdogan, this theme developed to a larger piece of music, making an effort for creating the perfect balance between the instrumentation and the different musical styles.

The vision for such an album came from the need to perform this old music lively and rediscover the meaning of every single phrase of this chosen repertoire on the spot. Without cutting and trimming. Every little tutti and well-rehearsed phrasing, every single mistake, every deep breath and every pluck that hits the strings or sound from the wooden surfaces of this historical temple is an ingredient to the beauty of the moment. “Azizie” is a collaboration between Arash Badie and Panos Skouteris, next to the guest musicians of the project, Mahyar Tahmasbi and Zilan Hasret Yildiz, presenting a repertoire of different regions and areas of East.

Tasian

The recording and official release of the piano version of this piece goes back to 2019; introduced as the first piece of the album called Ivar, composed by Morteza Shirkoohi. Not awhile after that, the idea of playing the tar, alongside with these melodies naturally developed and worked. The tar arrangement of Tasian was recorded on the winter of 2019, in Tehran, Kargadan Studio. In the Gilaki language/dialect, Tasian is known as the emotions, feeling from the loss of a loved one.

The Line

In the homeland and outside of it: shortly after the distance and migration, the presence of a significant line was felt in daily life, which described the division of existence into these two essential parts. The Line demonstrates the story of this ambiguous era that was created for the widest possible reasons. By collecting and developing the melodies, which had been accumulated for several years, an effort was made to reach a worthwhile, melodious, viable, and intimate result. The Line is on a journey to travel and present its melodies in others memories and moments, as a symbol and a souvenir from this odd period.

Curved, is the first single of Arash's second album. Composing and recording this piece has been the starting point of producing his next album. Curved is a musical demonstration of the curving, tough, beautiful and fascinating path of his love life with his partner.

Hashish

Although Hashish could be considered as a different style of work, Arash attempted to produce this song in a manner to present his ideas and style of composition in collaboration with Melika Yamini. Playing acoustic instruments, such as piano, guitar and ukulele, next to the electric guitar by Riccardo Bux, and bass played by Jonathan Gaubert was indeed a fresh experience.
